Say Anything

That is what I'll now do to get that DAMN post off the top of the page! Gah. I really ought to just do some deep breathing before writing sometimes. In fact, I should do some deep breathing before I ...... breathe regularly these days, because I am like the burning end of a match. Super fun to be around.

I never did wrap up the entry on Pensacola. We had a nice time, and we survived plane rides, sleep in places that were not our home, and a veritable stew of female hormones ranging from pre-menstrual to post-natal and EVERYTHING in between. It was harder work than I expected, which is a testament to T and how great he is at the daddying thing.

Speaking of the daddying thing, I am eavesdropping on a daddy-Johnny diaper change that is happening right now via the baby monitor, and OMIGOD, I may DIE from DELIGHT. Or I may go deaf, because T has taken the monitor and started to sing New York, New York right into the speaker. Johnny thinks T is an excellent singer. Johnny will learn.

Here, look at more cute pictures from the trip!

There are pictures of the adults, but that's boring. What is NOT boring, but TRAGIC is what happened to my hair after hanging out with Tressa and Claire for a weekend. They have the cutest, sassiest short hairstyles ever, and I was all inspired to cut mine off after I got home.

The result is neither cute nor sassy. It is just terrible. I said "bob", not "bald".

You have to say that, you're my MOM. Saying nice things that are possibly untrue is in the contract.

No, Kel, I think when you're a MOM, you actually do think your kid's hair looks cute, no matter what. So, it is true.

Your bitchy judgmental friend...

P.S.

I'm sure your hair is cute - I've never seen it look bad!

Oh, yeah, and even if your hair isn't cute, your kid sure is, and you know all eyes are on him now all the time :) I don't think my dad even remembered my name after charlie was born...

Kelly's hair always looks good (she says jealously). She did not inherit the "Gram Larkin" hair gene that I got. Lucky Kelly.

Weezie...you are not bitchy or judgmental. You are just a concerned grandmother. I'm so bitchy and judgmental, I'm afraid to ever show my face around Kelly's family and other friends again. Man, I really need to get my own blog...

Signed -
The only true judgmental bitch in Kelly's life

Oh...I'm sorry. I thought this was a message board. I keep forgetting this is someone's personal site.

Doesn't the "bitchy judgmental friend" give it away?

Dear bitchy judgemental friend, I'm trying to narrow down the field... so, do I happen to also think that your husband is a bad dresser?

Love,
Hope you don't get carpal tunnel by typing your alias all the time.

P.S. I LOVE YOU. MY FAMILY LOVES YOU.

Dear Bitchy Judgemental Friend,
We do SO love you!
Also, to T: I know Kel's getting all the rave reviews but FWIW I think you're a great dad. I guess we're all hijacking this blog to post stuff about other people..oh well
And, PS - I saw Kelly's hair and it is VERY CUTE!

Awww, Nancy. Thank you so much :)

I agree, Tony is a great dad and a wonderful husband. Kelly is a loving and devoted wife and mother. Those two are an awesome pair, and little Johnny is living proof of how they belong together and are so perfect for each other. What a great family!

Hey Kel - you have to admit, it's kind of exciting to see so many comments...

It IS exciting. I feel like one of those popular mom bloggers, except not as cute, skinny, or with as good a haircut! Also, they don't have their family or their bitchy, judgemental friends to pad their comments. So, I'm nothing like those popular mom bloggers, in summation.

Also, regarding all the lurve we've got going on here right now? Sing it with me folks: OH, LOORRRRRDD, KUMBAYAH.
